Hand building Course- Five Days

Looking to learn pottery without the wheel? Our Five Day Hand Building Pottery Course at Claymor Studio is a beginner-friendly ceramic course designed to introduce you to the foundations of handbuilt ceramics using professional techniques like pinch, coil, and slab construction.

This structured 5-day pottery program is perfect for absolute beginners who want to explore clay at a slower, more intentional pace. Over the course of one week, you’ll learn essential hand building techniques, surface decoration methods, and underglaze painting, while creating your own functional and decorative ceramic pieces.

You will learn-

  • Clay preparation, wedging,  ceramic terminology

  • Introduction to Pinching fundamentals- learn pinch forms

  • Coiling technique- building height & structure

  • Slab building- building geometric forms

  • Explore surface textures, attaching techniques and underglaze painting.

  • Each student will create a collection of 3-4 ceramic pieces.

Cost- INR 9,500/- per person

Please Note:

​

  • The course is for ages 16 years and older.

  • Pieces unto 1kg is included in the course for glazing & firing.

  • Firing charges of Rs100 per 100 grams will apply to fire pieces over 1kg

  • Finished work will be available to pick up 3-4 weeks after the end of your course.

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can get dirty in.

  • Course fee is non refundable and non transferrable.
